CLEAR TERMS · NO SUBSCRIPTION TRAPS
Subscription and cancellation terms
The commercial rules we intend to put in front of every customer before payment – not hidden after checkout.
Three Flights is in beta, and free
There are no paid plans today and no price is set. The product contains no checkout and no card field, so nothing can be charged to you while the beta runs. The terms below are the commercial rules we intend to put in front of every customer before payment is ever switched on; they describe a future purchase, not one available now.
Flights you record during the beta stay in your logbook, with their landings, hours and rank, whether or not you take a paid plan later. Before any plan launches we will publish the plan, price, billing interval, renewal date and cancellation route here, and tell account holders by email first.
Key subscription facts
No payment card, no countdown and no automatic conversion to a paid plan.
No feature tiers. When paid plans arrive, only the payment frequency will differ.
Cancel at any time without a cancellation fee. The next renewal charge stops.
Request a full refund within 14 days of the first paid purchase.

These are the seller details a consumer is entitled to see before buying. The marked items are the remaining blanks; payments stay switched off until they are filled in and the checkout shows the same entity that appears here.
What remains before paid launch
This is a substantive consumer-terms draft, not a generic placeholder. The legal structure can be built from official statutes, regulator guidance and model notices. Payment must remain off only until the factual blanks are completed: the registered office address, VAT details where applicable, payment provider, tax treatment, working support address and cancellation route.
The final launch check is practical: make the real order page, confirmation email, renewal reminder, withdrawal form, refund process and online cancellation journey do exactly what these terms say in English, German and French. Independent jurisdictional quality assurance is sensible once those facts and screens are fixed; it is not a reason to delay building the documents now.
Country checkout and cancellation controls
One commercial promise can serve all three launch languages, but the interface must use the local consumer-law controls below. These are product acceptance criteria for checkout – not footnotes to add later.
| Market | Immediately before payment | Renewal and cancellation | Withdrawal and refund |
|---|---|---|---|
| United Kingdom | Show the plan, total price, billing interval, renewal and cancellation terms prominently before the customer confirms. | Online cancellation must be easy, free and confirmed in writing. Send the promised renewal reminders and make cancellation available from the account. | Keep the 14-day first-purchase money-back promise separate from statutory rights and remedies. |
| Germany | Place the required key information beside an unambiguous payment button using “Zahlungspflichtig bestellen” or a verified equivalent. | Provide a permanently accessible “Verträge hier kündigen” route, a confirmation step and electronic confirmation of the effective date. | Supply the statutory Widerrufsbelehrung and official model withdrawal form on a durable medium. |
| France | Use “Commande avec obligation de paiement” or an equally unambiguous equivalent and repeat the essential service, price and duration information. | Provide a free, direct and permanently accessible “Résilier votre contrat” function and durable confirmation. For qualifying fixed-term auto-renewals, send the dedicated renewal notice in the statutory window. | Provide the 14-day withdrawal information and model form separately from ordinary end-of-term cancellation. |

1. Who these terms are for
These terms are intended to govern consumer access to Three Flights, including its flight recommendations, briefings, simulator connector, flight reviews, coaching and logbook. “Three Flights”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean the contracting business identified at checkout and in the purchase confirmation. “You” means the account holder purchasing or using the service.
The service is intended for people aged 16 or over. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must approve the subscription and payment. Nothing in these terms removes statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
2. Free access during the beta
- Access is free for everyone taking part in the beta.
- No payment card is required, and none can be added: there is no checkout in the product.
- The beta does not silently become a paid subscription.
- When paid plans launch, access may pause until you expressly choose a plan and confirm payment.
- We may prevent repeated free accounts created to avoid payment, using proportionate anti-abuse controls.
3. Paid plans and automatic renewal
No plan, price or billing interval is set, and none is on sale. Any figure you may have seen elsewhere is not current and is not an offer. When plans are proposed, the plan names, charges, renewal intervals and monthly equivalents will be published in this section before the first charge is possible.
Each plan renews automatically at its stated interval until cancelled. Checkout must show the selected plan, billing frequency, total charge, applicable taxes, currency, next renewal date and cancellation method immediately before you confirm the purchase. No optional charge may be pre-selected.
After purchase, we will send a confirmation that you can save, stating the plan, price, renewal date, cancellation route, cooling-off and refund rights, and the version of these terms that applies.
GBP prices are the current proposal. The final checkout will state whether tax is included and will show any local tax or currency conversion before payment. Your bank or card provider may apply its own foreign-exchange charge; we do not control that charge.
4. How cancellation works
- Use Account → Billing → Cancel subscription, or send a clear cancellation statement through the support contact published at checkout.
- Online cancellation must be no harder than online sign-up and must not require a telephone call.
- We will acknowledge online cancellation in writing within 24 hours and state the final access date.
- Cancellation stops the next renewal. There is no cancellation fee.
- Unless you use a cooling-off or refund right, access continues until the end of the period already paid for.
Deleting the simulator connector does not by itself cancel billing. Likewise, cancelling billing does not automatically delete your account or logbook; you may request deletion separately under the privacy notice.
5. Cooling-off and refund promise
First paid purchase: you may cancel and request a full refund within 14 days after the contract is made. Our proposed money-back promise applies even if you started using Three Flights immediately; we will not ask you to waive this contractual promise.
Annual renewal: we intend to send a reminder at least seven days before the charge. You may cancel within 14 days after an annual renewal and request a full refund of that renewal charge.
Monthly and quarterly renewals: cancellation prevents the next renewal. A completed renewal period is not normally refundable, except where required by law, charged after a valid cancellation, duplicated, technically incorrect, or where the service was materially unavailable.
Approved refunds will be returned to the original payment method without undue delay and normally within 14 days. Statutory remedies for faulty, misdescribed or unavailable digital services remain unaffected.
6. Changes to price or plan
We will give at least 30 days’ notice before a price increase affects a renewal. The notice will show the new amount, the date it applies and a direct way to cancel. A price increase will not change a period already paid for. Moving between plans takes effect at the next renewal unless checkout clearly agrees another date and amount with you.
7. Account and acceptable use
You must provide accurate account information, keep credentials secure and promptly report suspected unauthorised access. You must not:
- resell, scrape, reverse engineer or systematically extract the service or its data except where law permits;
- interfere with security, overload the service or use automation that harms other users;
- upload unlawful material or content that infringes another person’s rights; or
- use Three Flights for real-world aircraft navigation, dispatch, maintenance or safety decisions.
8. Simulation only
Three Flights is an entertainment and self-improvement product for consumer flight simulation. It is not for real-world navigation, flight planning, pilot training, operational control, aircraft performance calculation, maintenance assessment or regulatory compliance. Route, weather, performance and scoring information must never replace official aviation sources, an aircraft manual, an operator procedure or qualified professional judgement.
A review score is coaching information, not a statement of pilot competence or airworthiness. Missing or unverified aircraft-specific values must be labelled and must not be scored as confirmed facts.
9. Third-party products
Microsoft Flight Simulator, SimBrief, Navigraph and aircraft add-ons are third-party products governed by their own terms. Unless a written partnership is announced, references identify compatibility only and do not imply endorsement, affiliation or access to private aircraft systems. You are responsible for any separate licence or subscription required by a third party.
10. Availability and product changes
We will take reasonable care to provide the service, but uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed. Maintenance, simulator updates, third-party outages and connector changes can temporarily affect features. We may improve, replace or retire features where reasonably necessary, but will not deliberately remove the core paid experience during a prepaid term without offering an appropriate remedy.
11. Intellectual property and your flight data
Three Flights and its software, interface, recommendation system, branding and editorial material remain ours or our licensors’. You retain rights in content you provide. You give us only the limited permission needed to host, process and display your profile, flight records and feedback to operate the service. Privacy and telemetry processing is explained separately in the privacy notice.
12. Responsibility and liability
We do not exclude liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or breach of mandatory consumer rights. Subject to those protections, we are responsible for losses that are a reasonably foreseeable result of our breach. We are not responsible for purely business losses, third-party add-on failures, simulator defects, or loss caused by using the product for prohibited real-world aviation purposes.
13. Suspension and closure
We may temporarily restrict an account to protect users, investigate fraud or address a serious breach. Where practical, we will explain the reason and allow correction. If we permanently close a paid account without user fault, we will refund the unused portion of the current paid period. You may export available logbook data before voluntary account deletion where technically available.
14. Governing law and complaints
The final contract is expected to be governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere, you keep any mandatory consumer protection and court rights available in your home country. Please contact support first so we can try to resolve a complaint promptly. Before paid sales begin, this section will name any consumer mediation or alternative dispute-resolution body that applies to the final seller and markets served.
The former EU Online Dispute Resolution platform will not be linked because it closed on 20 July 2025. A current, applicable dispute route will be published instead.
